10 mL of urine. It is preferable for the patient to be off medications for 3 days before specimen collection. However, common antihypertensives cause minimal or no interference. Patient should avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, tobacco, bananas, citrus fruits

Specimen can be transported at room temperature. It is stable for 10 days if refrigerated.
