Specimen Required

10 mL of urine in a leak-proof container. Patient should avoid food high in indoles: avacado, banana, tomato, plum, walnut, pineapple, and eggplant. Patient should also avoid tobacco, tea, and coffee for 3 days prior to specimen collection.

5 mL

Specimen is stable for 7 days at room temperature.
