“I was referred to Dr. DeCunzo by my pulmonologist and was immediately impressed by the kindness and professionalism of his assistant Cheri on the other end of the phone. At my first appointment with Dr. DeCunzo, my husband and I knew we had picked the right doc for us. Cheri was absolutely lovely and Dr. DeCunzo took ample time to listen, explain, and answer all of our questions about my prognosis and options.

Having a collapsed lung in college was one thing, but dealing with this condition as a mom of four year old twins and the primary practitioner at my own chiropractic practice was quite another. Dr. DeCunzo valued my own opinions and concerns with regard to my care and we made the decisions on how to proceed together – just the way it should be between doctors and their patients.

In the end, after some complications and recurrences, Dr. DeCunzo performed three procedures on both of my lungs and I was a regular on the surgical recovery floor from October to November.

While it was easily one of the more stressful periods of my life the care I received at Glens Falls Hospital made it more than bearable and even enjoyable considering the circumstances.

From Cheri and Dr. DeCunzo to the teams of providers assigned to my surgeries and the incredibly kind and attentive nurses of the surgical floor, to say my time at Glens Falls Hospital was a “good experience” is quite the understatement. I feel so fortunate to have been in such fantastic care and can now report I am back to full duties as mom, wife and ‘Dr. Erin’.

Not only that, I was lucky enough to be taken care of with such urgency, that my husband and I were still able to surprise our children with a trip to Disney World for their 5th birthday in January which we had planned months before my surgeries and had worried perhaps might not pan out given the status of my health. I am forever grateful for Dr. DeCunzo and the teams of professionals that took care of me at Glens Falls Hospital and would highly recommend them to anyone considering their options for care.”

I recently found myself in need of assistance with a medical issue near Adirondack Cardiology. The entire staff there, led by Dr. Iqbal Bashir and Julie Anderson, RPA-C responded without hesitation and with the utmost care and compassion. My care continued at the Glens Falls Hospital Emergency Room where Dr. Andrew Bachman and the staff demonstrated their ample expertise and sincere patient care. Because of these excellent professionals, I was back home within a few hours, good as new, and very grateful for the wonderful care I received.
