Job Shadowing, Internship and Clinical Education Experiences

Glens Falls Hospital is committed to providing voluntary educational experiences for high school and college students interested in or learning about pursuing health related careers. Opportunities are limited but all applicants are welcome to apply.

Job Shadow

Job shadowing is an excellent opportunity to do just that, and GFH is pleased to offer these experiences to high school and college students (ages 16 and older), as you consider the many career paths available in healthcare.

Participants have the opportunity to experience the workplace setting as well as the duties performed by the health care professionals they are shadowing.

Internship

Our internships are designed to help current undergraduate and graduate students obtain credit to fulfill requirements to complete a degreed program. An internship with GFH provides career awareness, experience that helps secure future employment, professional networking contacts, makes classroom learning more interesting and helps the student develop self-confidence as they identify skills, abilities, and talents. Please note, internships are unpaid.

Note: We are proud of our established affiliation agreements with education partners throughout New York state and beyond. A current agreement must be in place prior to approving any student in a clinical rotation.

Clinical Rotations

(For nursing and allied health students)

Glens Falls Hospital offers a variety of health care clinical rotation opportunities. Our clinical affiliations allow students to gain hands-on experience with our patients and receive high quality mentorship with our clinical instructors.

Note: We are proud of our established affiliation agreements with education partners throughout New York state and beyond. A current agreement must be in place prior to approving any student in a clinical rotation.
