Blood Glucose Monitoring

Blood glucose monitoring is a cornerstone of diabetes self-management. Instruction in the proper use of a meter, evaluation of meter accuracy and patient technique, as well as patterns of testing and interpretation of data are provided.

We also offer continuous glucose monitoring sensor therapy. This includes a 72-hour monitoring device that can assist and reveal difficult glucose control issues. This service provides patients and their health care provider with in-depth blood glucose information on a continuous basis. The results are then interpreted, shared with your healthcare provider, and adjustments in therapy may result.

Indications for this service include:

  • Uncontrolled hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia
  • Gastroparesis
  • Dawn phenomenon
  • Uncontrolled post-prandial glycemic control
  • Medication adjustments
  • Pre-conception and/or pregnancy glycemia management
  • For use with patients on dialysis or transplant recipients

A physician referral is required and patients are advised to verify coverage with their health plans.

Appointments are conveniently scheduled.
