COMMUNITY FIRST
Improving the Economy and Community
Our mission extends well beyond the walls of the hospital or any of our 23 regional locations, through activities to improve the health and well-being of the people and communities in our ve-county service area.
Glens Falls Hospital also offers many free screenings and programs throughout the year to support healthy living. We provide programs in breast cancer awareness, cervical cancer awareness, ovarian cancer awareness, skin cancer awareness, and cancer risk reduction.
In 2017, our Cancer Services Program screened more than 150 high-need individuals for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer. Our nurses also
volunteer at places like the Glens Falls Farmers’ Market, Adirondack Thunder hockey games, West Mountain, and more! Whether it is handing out hot chocolate on a cold day at the mountain or checking blood pressures at the farmers market, the Glens Falls Hospital team is here for you.
Amanda’s House provides a home away from home to patients and their families who have traveled a distance for healthcare.
Our Health Promotion Center focuses on strategies to make it easier for people to eat well, live tobacco-free, be physically active and, obtain quality preventative care.
